 INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONSIGNMENT

 

1. How do I sell my gear at the SWAP?

Consignors can preconsign by clicking the link below to create the information needed to help speed up your drop-off time.

2. WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT CAN I BRING?

We accept all sporting equipment that is in good condition.

  • alpine/downhill skis
  • cross country skis
  • snowboards
  • boots
  • poles
  • alpine race pads
  • ski/snowboard clothing
  • ski roof racks
  • mountain bicycles
  • road bicycles
  • bicycle racks
  • wakeboards
  • SUPs
  • hockey equipment
  • roller blades
  • ...and more!!!
  • We CANNOT accept used helmets.  
  • We DO NOT accept equipment that has been poorly maintained or is a potential safety hazard.
  • Older model straight (alpine) skis are not accepted for sale.

Our volunteers have the right to refuse any equipment.

  • After you click "PRINT FORM", a QR-code will be generated and the form will be ready for your printer. Print your personal page on regular paper and bring the form with QR-code on it with you and the items you are consigning. NOTHING is stored in our system, your information and items listed are embedded in the QR-code.
  • QR-code MUST BE ON PAPER - not on your cellular device.
  • Cost is $3 per consignment item and BWSC will retain 20% commission on any sold items.

3. How do I volunteer for the Swap?

As a member, family or friend of BWSC, when you volunteer for a shift at our upcoming Swap, you are automatically invited to our Buy Night* held on Friday from 7:30 -9 pm (tills open after the last consignment item is processed into the system), giving you first access to amazing equipment and deals! 

(*max 3 items per volunteer)

All U12/14/16 and Ski X parent(s) are needed and required to volunteer at this event. Development Team (Devo) and Blazer parents are encouraged to volunteer as well.  As parents, we demonstrate valuable volunteer leadership to our kids, by sharing your time for our ski community, it’s a fun way to kick off the season, and for a great cause - YOUR KIDS!

4. What does it cost to consign my equipment?

  • There is a $3.00 per item consignment fee; we recommended using the pre-consign online system to save time. The fee will be paid when dropping off your items.
  • If your equipment sells, we retain a 20% commission on the sale price of the item.​ You set the sale price of all your items.

5. What kind of payment do you accept?

We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, DEBIT and CASH.

6. How do I know if my equipment has sold?

Pay-out & Pick-up runs from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on SATURDAY. Check back after 5:00 with your consignment tag “customer copy” to see if your equipment has sold. If your item(s) sold, we will pay out the value of the equipment less the 20% commission. If your equipment has not sold, our staff will take your consignment tag and return your items to you.

7. I missed the pay-out time on Saturday and didn’t get back to check for my equipment. What do I do?

Equipment that is left behind on Saturday becomes the property of the Big White Ski Club.

REMEMBER THE PAY-OUT TIME IS 5:00-7:00 PM ON SATURDAY, ONLY!
If you cannot attend the Pay-out & Pick-up time, have someone do it for you, but they must have your consignment tag “customer copy”. Pay-out cheques that are not picked up on Saturday will be mailed to the address given at the time of consignment.

  • If some or none of your equipment sold, you will need to pick up your unsold equipment BEFORE 7pm Saturday evening.

Unclaimed equipment will be considered donated!!

8. What else should I know?

To help maintain security, we DO NOT allow any backpacks, large purses, or bulky jackets/ski clothing to be worn into the SWAP. Please leave these items at home. If you insist on bringing these items, you will be asked to leave them at the door. Items left at the door are the sole responsibility of the owner. Our security staff reserves the right to check all items that are leaving the building. You can fully expect security to be doing their jobs; please respect them!

Please Note:

We have numerous security people on site that work hard to ensure that equipment doesn’t go missing, however, the Big White Ski Club cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen equipment.
