BIG WHITE SKI CLUB ATHLETES QUALIFY
For U16 NATIONALS and U14 BC WINTER GAMES

Big White Ski Club is proud to announce that THREE athletes have qualified for top level events in Alpine ski racing.

Shayna Little (2005) secured her spot for the 2020 U16 National Ski Championships with her podium finish in the Super G races last weekend at Red Mountain near Rossland BC. Her third-place finish on Sunday confirmed her spot representing Team BC March 9th to 15th at Sun Peaks Ski Resort.

In the U14 category, Liv Willoughby (2006) and Kael Oberlander (2007) both qualified by hitting the podium first and third respectively, at the Slalom race at Apex Ski Resort, near Penticton BC, three weeks ago. These ladies will be flying to Fort St John BC to race in the 2020 BC Winter Games from February 19th to 23rd. Samantha Hvedding (2007) was selected as the first alternate to attend the event, should any of the other qualified athletes not be able to fulfill their positions representing the Okanagan Valley.

Program Director and U14 Head Coach Trevor Haaheim commented “We have a really strong team this year and these young ladies have put huge heart into their training efforts. Those who qualified all worked hard to earn their spots!”
