On November 10, 2024, at the Big White Ski Club screening of Warren Miller's 75 movie, three BWSC athletes were recognized with the Jen Meyer Bursary Award.

The 2024 recipients were:

• Arianna Khatami (U14)
• Ken Ferenci (U16)
• Ella Thomas (U16)

The bursary was created and awarded by Jen Meyer, a former BWSC athlete and coach.   Jen has graciously created this award to help inspire the next generation of ski racers to strive to do their best, as athletes and in life!  One of the primary criteria of the bursary is for the recipient to 'show up on and off the slopes.'  Therefore their school grades and extra curricular activities are also considered along with their sportsmanship on and off the slopes. 

"This sport has taught me that in order to achieve a goal, every step, no matter how small, should be completed with care and to the best of my ability. I believe my experience ski racing has contributed to my success throughout my education and now in my career." - Jen Meyer

During the movie showing, former BWSC athlete Finley Cashin was also recognized with the Dave Murray BC Alpine Bursary.
