IMPROVING SKILLS - GAINING CONFIDENCE - DEVELOPING CHAMPIONS

U14 Team (AGES 12-13)

At this age skiers are offered additional training days** over and above weekend training sessions. Skiers in U14 continue on their path of learning but gradually mature into talented young ski racers acquiring all the basic skills. U14’s begin to focus more on racing, while maintaining their development of all-mountain skiing skills.

With a higher number of on-snow days, a higher level of competition is introduced with Provincial and Western Canadian Championship events. Camaraderie, personal achievement and all-out fun on the slopes describe what U14 is all about.

**Additional training is offered on Fridays (at Big White or sometimes Apex). In total this schedule includes approximately 15 more days than the weekend only program. Racers choosing to participate in the extra days IF at Apex Mountain Resort, lift pass costs will come from your racer account - reciprocal pass discounts apply.

CLUB VAN & RACER ACCOUNTS (U12, U14, U16 & CAP)

Our club has 2 large passenger vans which are used to shuttle athletes who need a ride to ski training ORrace days. No need to pre-register, just show up! On any dates where there is a possibility of full capacity, Coach Trevor will send an email to all asking for a commitment to count attendees. This allows families to have their athletes attend, even on days when the rest of the family is not able to get to the hill. The cost to ride in the van will be deducted, per trip, from each athlete's Racer Account.

Racer Accounts are a banked fund for each racer, used for van rides and "race fees". Within the "race fees" are the lift tickets, coach expenses, entry fees among other costs.

Any funds in YOUR Racer Account which are not used during the season will be reimbursed at the end of the race season. Racer Account amounts are based on age category and will be announced at the family info meeting each fall, the amount may change year-to-year based on expected costs and fundraising income to the club.
